Privacy

How your details are used when you get in touch, and how cookies work on this site. Last updated 30 September 2026.

1. Who’s responsible

The person responsible for the details you send (the data controller) is George, trading as DJ Gloves. You can reach me at djglovesofficial@gmail.com.

2. What’s collected

When you send an enquiry, I receive what you enter in the form: your name, email, phone number (if you give it), event type, date, venue or town, rough number of guests and your message.

If you book a call, I receive your name, email, the time you pick, whether you’d like a phone call (and your number, if so) or Google Meet, and your answers about your event.

3. Why, and on what basis

Only to reply to your enquiry and, if you book, to arrange and play your event. The legal basis is that you’ve asked me to, so I can take steps towards a booking with you. Your details aren’t sold, shared for marketing or added to a mailing list.

4. Who else sees it

Enquiries are delivered to me by email through a form service, which processes them on my behalf. Calls are booked through Cal.com, which handles your booking on my behalf and adds it to my Google Calendar (with a Google Meet link, if you chose one). The site is hosted by Cloudflare, which handles basic technical data (such as your IP address) to deliver the site and keep it secure.

5. How long it’s kept

Enquiries are kept for up to 12 months, then deleted. If you book, I keep the details needed for the booking for as long as I have to for my business records.

6. Cookies, players and call bookings

This site doesn’t set any cookies of its own, and doesn’t use analytics or advertising trackers. That’s why there’s no cookie banner.

Videos and mixes come from YouTube and SoundCloud. Their players don’t load until you press play or listen: until then you only see a thumbnail hosted on this site, and nothing is sent to them. When you press play, you’re choosing to load that service’s player. From then on it may store cookies or similar data on your device and collect information such as your IP address, under its own privacy policy. Videos use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode, which limits this but doesn’t remove it. SoundCloud has no privacy mode like this.

If you’d rather not load them, you can watch and listen on YouTube and SoundCloud directly, or just get in touch.

The call booking calendar on the Contact page works the same way. Nothing loads from Cal.com until you press See available times. From then on Cal.com may store cookies or similar data on your device, under its own privacy policy. You can also book on Cal.com directly, or send an enquiry instead.

The “Is your date free?” calendar on the Contact page only shows which dates I’m not available. It’s read from my own calendar by this site’s server, so nothing about you is sent to Google or anyone else, and it sets no cookies.

7. Your rights

You can ask to see the details I hold about you, have them corrected or have them deleted. Just get in touch. If you’re unhappy with how your details have been handled, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
